Why

Harvest is a non-denominational, Christian Church. We began as a home bible study in 2003.

We are Christians—that means we have come to a personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

We do not believe we are the only Christians in Ballymena neither do we think we are the ‘best’. Instead we acknowledge the larger ‘invisible’ body of Christ composed of all true Christians and ‘visibly’ represented across the denominations. On this subject we need to add that we have neither fallen out with anybody nor split from another church.

Our meetings are informal– we don’t insist on dress codes -come as you are.

We don’t emphasise money–We won’t ask you for it either! Instead, we are more interested in what we can GIVE you. Most of our resources are free to take away (cds ..dvds ..books ’videos etc)

We emphasise ‘teaching’ the Bible rather than ‘preaching’ it. Our purpose is to teach all of the Scriptures—verse by verse –explaining what it says. The teaching is in a ‘down -to -earth’ style- you are encouraged to ask questions. In fact a lot of what we do centres around conversations and discussions.

So I hope that gives you a flavour of who we and why we meet. We are ordinary people with no airs or graces– living in the real world. Hope to see you soon.
