Harvest is an independent Christian Church which seeks to emphasise the spiritual unity of all true believers through Jesus Christ and welcomes people from all backgrounds. Harvest is part of the Calvary Chapel family of churches.
We believe:
There is one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Equal in essence, power and glory.In Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His pre-existence, incarnation, sinless life, His miracles and teaching, His substitutionary death upon the cross of Calvary, His bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, His perpetual intercession for His people and His future personal visible return to the earth in glory.
In the Holy Spirit, who came from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement: to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe He indwells every believer and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide to enable them to live a godly life.
The Old and New Testament Scriptures are the only infallible Word of God, fully inspired by God and without error in the original manuscripts.
That all mankind are sinners by nature and choice, falling short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation from sin and its consequences.
That salvation is by God's undeserved, unmerited favour and by faith alone and that the Holy Spirit regenerates those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
In the unity of the Church universal, the living spiritual Body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.
In the resurrection of the body and the final judgement: resulting in the eternal blessing of those declared righteous by faith in Jesus Christ, and the endless punishment of the wicked. In the eternal state and the new heavens and earth.
