The Corinthians had been duped by false prophets that arose from inside the church. They were more interested in style than substance. The simple gospel had been overcomplicated. These impostors controlled the Corinthians- abusing them, taking their money and abusing their trust. Satan’s greatest deceivers are those that look like angels of light.
