About a year prior the Corinthians had promised to send some financial aid to their Christian brothers and sisters in Palestine. As time went on, and perhaps due to the friction between them and Paul, their intention never came to pass. Paul here reminds us of some basic New Testament principles regarding giving to God’s Work.
